The meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m. Dr. Wade Faw introduced Charles Wilkerson, Director of International Student Affairs. He presented information to the committee supporting his assertion that TTU should accept IELTS and TOEIC test scores as we currently accept the TOEFL scores for admissions purposes. The motion was made by Shirley Laird, seconded by John Pigg and approved by the committee.
Mrs. Tolbert asked the committee to refer to the attachment from Marketta Laurila, Interim Chair, Department of Foreign Languages. The request was for the committee to change the AP scores needed to receive credit. John Pigg made the motion, it was seconded by Susan Gutkind and approved by the committee.
