Ms. Wheatley called the meeting to order.
Approval of the Agenda
Dr. Cho moved to approve the agenda, and Dr. Loutzenheiser seconded the motion. The agenda was approved.
Approval of the April 1, 2003 Minutes
Dr. Cho moved to approve the April 1, 2003 minutes. Dr. Loutzenheiser seconded the motion. The minutes were approved as submitted.
Introductions
New committee members were introduced and a brief orientation to the activities of the Committee were presented.
Retention Table
The primary agenda item was the proposed revised retention table presented by the subcommittee and submitted with the agenda.
Additional information was submitted with the agenda showing how it will affect the number of students placed on probation and then suspended one term later.
Discussion followed. It was reiterated that this policy should go into effect beginning the fall term 2004, but persons on probation will have a one semester grace period and not be suspended for the fall of 2004. This second part is a one semester occurrence.
With no further agenda items, the meeting adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
