Nursing

Barbara Jared explained the policies for eligibility for admission to upper division nursing.   Two areas of significant change include:

  1. Inclusion of the term active as well as current Registered Nursing License
  2. International Student Policies

After discussion by the committee, Barbara Jared moved to accept the RN to BSN policy changes as proposed.  The motion was seconded and approved.

English

Dr. Eisen discussed his proposal to the committee for a departmental exception form for dropping English 1010 or 1020.  He pointed out that students do not always understand that there needs to be a good reason to drop these classes and that advisors need to offer more guidance in this regard.  The committee agreed to accept the proposal in principle.

As there were no other such matters, a motion to adjourn was made by Shirley Laird.  The motion was seconded and approved.
