Department of Accounting: Program of Continuing Education for Practitioners

Partnering with the IRS, Farm Bureau, UT Extension Services, the Tennessee Department of Revenue, the Upper Cumberland Chapter of the TSCPA, the statewide TSCPA organization, and others, the department is currently planning the following CE events for 2012-2013

Tennessee Business Tax Seminar (T=8 hrs).

On site registration 7:30 - 8:15 AM on 8/28/2012. Comments: Presented by TN Depart. of Revenue, net proceeds fund accounting scholarships.

Ethics (Two Hours of Tennessee Specific Ethics).

10/16/2012 (2 hours of CE) 11:30AM - 2:00 PM.

Location/Meal: TTU’s Tech Pride Room. Lunch served at 12:00 Noon CE will start at approximately 12:30 PM.
Cost & Registration: Tentatively $50. Registration will be on a walk-in basis (no reservations taken or required).  
Comments: A traditional annual ethics update. Presenter will be provided by TSCPA.

Federal Tax Update presented by UTK, IRS, and Farm Bureau (T=16 hrs).

TTU Accounting CE Day. Tent. program: Issues in banking, Int. Fin Reporting stds., Differential Acct. stds., Dept. of Revenue audit deficiencies, financial planning and ethics (M=2hrs, A=3hrs, T=1 hr, and Ethics = 2 hrs).

12/17/2012 (8 hours of CE) 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Location:   Progressive Financial Center, 1080 Interstate Drive, Cookeville, TN 38501. Continental Breakfast, lunch, snacks provided.
