Summary of Proceedings:

 

Approved agenda.

 

Approved minutes of February 23, 2005, as distributed.

 

Approved Constitution of “Swing Dance Club.”

 

Approved change to procedures for committees reporting to the Academic Council.

 

Approved procedural changes to the Military Affairs Advisory Committee.

 

Approved the Employee Academic Credentials Policy and Requirements.

 

Approved annual reports for committees reporting to the Administrative Council.

 

Received report on the streamline process implementation from ITS.

 

Approved revisions to the tenure and promotion policies and procedures.

 

Approved Dr. Paula Hinton as chairman of Administrative Council for 2005-2006.

 

Proceedings:

 

Motion to approve the agenda of April 6, 2005, as distributed, was made by Ms. Pogue and seconded by Dr. Hinton. Motion APPROVED.

 

Motion to approve the minutes of February 23, 2005 was made by Dr. Earles and seconded by Professor Lee. Motion APPROVED.

 

Professor Johnson moved to approve the Constitution of the “Swing Dance Club” at Tech. The motion was seconded by Mr. Hayes. Motion APPROVED.

 

Dr. Hinton moved to approve the proposed change to procedures for committees reporting to the Academic Council. The motion was seconded by Dr. Earles.

Motion APPROVED.

 

Dr. Hinton moved to approve the proposed procedural changes to the Military Affairs Advisory Committee. The motion was duly seconded and APPROVED.

 

Dr. Hinton moved to approve the proposed employee academic credentials policy and requirements. The motion was seconded by Professor Lee. Motion APPROVED.

 

Professor Johnson moved to approve the annual reports for committees reporting to the Administrative Council as distributed. The motion was seconded by Professor Lee.

Motion APPROVED.

 

Mr. Reese reported on the streamline process implementations from ITS. A presentation will be made at the first Council meeting in the fall.

 

Dr. Ballal moved to approve the proposed revisions to the tenure and promotion policies and procedures. The motion was seconded by Dr. McGee. Motion APPROVED.

 

Ms. Pogue moved to approve the Nominating Subcommittee’s selection of Dr. Paula Hinton as chairman of the Administrative Council for 2005-2006. The motion was seconded by Dr. Earles. Motion APPROVED.

 

Other Such Matters:

 

The new SGA President Craft Hayes was recognized.

 

Motion to adjourn by Dr. Earles and seconded by Dr. Hinton.  The meeting ADJOURNED at 4:00 p.m.
