Proceedings:
A motion to approve the agenda of November 14, 2007, as distributed was made by Dr. Hinton and seconded by Ms. Bostic. Motion APPROVED.
Mr. Wilson moved to approve the minutes of October 10, 2007, and Dr. Hinton seconded. Motion APPROVED.
A motion to approve the TTU Cost of Textbooks Policy was made by Ms. Bostic and seconded by Ms. Warrington. Dr. Hoy gave a brief overview of the TBR mandated policy. Motion APPROVED.
A motion to approve the Retailing Association Constitution at Tennessee Tech was made by Mr. Wilson and seconded by Dr. Hinton. Motion APPROVED.
A motion to approve the Ultimate Club Constitution at Tennessee Tech was made by Dr. Marquis and seconded by Mr. Wilson. Motion APPROVED.
A motion to approve SGA Bill S07-09 “An Act to Install Waste Receptacles on Campus” was made by Mr. Wilson. Dr. Hinton seconded. Mr. Macke stated the Residence Halls will install additional waste receptacles and current staff will maintain. This will be on a trial basis, and if system is not abused by students, the Residence Halls will continue to maintain the receptacles. Motion APPROVED.
A motion to approve the Athletics Gender Equity and Minority Issues Annual Reports for 2006-2007 as submitted was made by Dr. Hinton and seconded by Mr. Macke. Motion APPROVED.
A motion to approve the procedural changes for the University Library Committee was made by Dr. Hinton and seconded by Dr. James. Dr. Walden was present on behalf of the committee and explained what the changes consisted of. Motion APPROVED.
A motion to approve the procedural changes for the University Safety and Environmental Committee was made by Dr. Hinton and seconded by Mr. Wilson. Mr. Cobb was present on behalf of this committee. Motion APPROVED.
A motion to approve the procedural changes for the Academic Council was made by Dr. Hinton and seconded by Mr. Macke. Motion APPROVED.
A motion to adjourn was made by Ms. Bostic and seconded by Dr. Hinton. The meeting ADJOURNED at 3:52 p.m.
