Students may obtain advanced placement credit in certain courses depending on appropriate test scores.

This credit is automatically awarded once a student is admitted, and a notice of the credit given is mailed to the student. If a student is eligible to receive credit, but prefers to not accept the advanced placement credit in English, please notify the Admissions office.

Tennessee Tech University also awards credit based on A.P. Examination scores, CLEP (College Level Examination Program) (PDF), and Credit by Examination. For more information, please refer to Undergraduate catalog listing of advanced placement credit.

Students who have any A.P. (Advanced Placement) test scores need to request that the official scores be sent to the Office of Admissions. Contact the College Board to have these scores sent.
