Financial Aid

Paying for college can seem like an overwhelming experience. Fortunately, solutions are not out of reach. Eligible Tennessee Tech students can receive a variety of financial aid assistance, including federal grants, loans and work-study opportunities.

Am I eligible for federal aid?

To find out if you qualify for federal financial aid, you’ll need to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA).

Where do I get the FASFA?

These forms should be available from your high school counselor or they may be completed online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

When should I apply?

To ensure that you receive all aid for which you qualify, you should apply by our priority deadline of March 15 of the year you are applying to receive aid. You may apply as early as January 1 since several aid awards are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you miss the deadline, apply as soon as possible. Though your total may be reduced if you file late, it is never too late to file and receive some type of financial aid if you qualify.
