Vision and Mission
The central mission of the School of Agriculture, within the context of the mission of the University, is to provide a high quality undergraduate program in appropriate professional disciplines that will prepare our graduates for careers in the food, agricultural, and natural resource system and/or for further training in graduate or professional programs. Our mission includes preparing our graduates to be agricultural leaders and productive members of society. The faculty and staff strive to meet the academic, professional, and personal needs of our students, but are also responsive to serving the needs of agricultural businesses, industries, and government agencies. This is accomplished through scholarly and public service activities. The School of Agriculture serves students from throughout the state and nation, but embraces a special commitment to serve the Upper Cumberland Region of Tennessee.
