Tennessee Tech's Environmental Conservation Club, a student chapter of the American Society of Agronomy and the Soil and Water Conservation Society, supports the participiation of Tech's Soil Judging Team  in ASA - and NACTA - sponsored soil judging contest. Tennessee Tech was the host of the first National Collegiate Soil Judging Contest and hosted the ASA Southeast Regional Contest in Fall 2000.
