Art Scholarships

Eligibility for the scholarships on this page is limited to art majors. Art majors may also be eligible for numerous other scholarships based on various eligibility criteria. Students are encouraged to read the information on the TTU Scholarships homepage and to search for additional scholarships on the ScholarWeb.

 TTU Scholarships Homepage 

In order to be eligible for any TTU Scholarship, all students must complete the ScholarWeb Application by December 15.

Approach the Light, The Becky Anderson Scholarship Endowment           

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be an upper division student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies. A non-traditional student is most desirable. Must have declared as Bachelor of Fine Arts. Must be studying at the Craft Center. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.50. Must be a full-time student enrolled in 12 or more hours. Will be asked to donate a piece of work for sale at the following year's Becky Anderson event. Will be strongly encouraged to attend the annual Becky Anderson event in Cookeville, TN. The scholarship is renewable.


Nichols Freshman Art Scholarship Endowment                  

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must major in art and pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree; must submit an art portfolio to be reviewed for content and quality; must submit three (3) recommendations from high school teachers, one of whom must be an art teacher; must submit a written statement indicating the student’s college and career goals; must be an entering freshman in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies. Nancy Nichols Williams Honorary Scholarship Endowment        

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, the student must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies and must be a painting major. For more information, contact the Department of Art at (931) 372-3738.


Bacchanal Art Scholarship          

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; a portfolio of images representing the studio work of the applicant and a written statement, appropriate to the work of the student and the BFA concentration of the student, must be submitted. This award is made for one academic year but the recipient may reapply. Windgate Foundation Scholarship Endowment                 

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must be either a part-time or full-time student in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program. The scholarships will be awarded based on juried talent and need, not academic grades. Interested students should submit one letter of recommendation.
