Tennessee Tech's athletics teams compete in the Ohio Valley Conference for 16 sports on the NCAA Division I level. Our football team is a member of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Known as the Golden Eagles, TTU varsity athletes are known as true scholar-athletes, carrying a higher average gpa than tvvhe student body, while competing for and winning conference championships.
Intramural Sports offers the students faculty and staff at TTU the opportunity to participate and compete against each other in over 20 different sporting activities. This atmosphere offers competition in team sports as well as individual and dual competition. Intramurals annually boast more participation than any club, organization, or department on campus.
Campus Recreation provides comprehensive fitness, recreation, and life long wellness habits in a state of the art facility. The wide variety of programs provides opportunities to develop an individuals positive self-esteem, develop new and lasting relationships with others, as well as improved and effective communication and leadership skills.
You can’t spell S-P-I-R-I-T on campus without the “Golden Girls” dance team and all-girl and co-ed cheerleading squads. Both the dance team and cheer squad boast national competitive titles. These students perform at all football and basketball games, plus make special community appearances.
