Academic Program

While in the Basic Business program, you will complete a two-year schedule of courses that includes the following general educational disciplines:

Humanities/Fine Arts
Natural Science
Mathematics
Economics
Communications
English
American History
Non-business electives

The program also emphasizes the following foundation business requirements:

Accounting
Computer Applications

You will spend your four or five semesters in the Basic Business program developing the core competencies needed in all business fields. You will also decide which specific major in the College of Business Administration is right for you. The individual business majors offered at Tennessee Tech include the following:
