| Description - The primary
purpose of this scholarship is to encourage female and minority students
to pursue studies in computer science. The next award of the scholarship
will be given to a student who will be enrolled with full-time status
at TTU during the 2002-2003 academic year. The monetary value of
the award is $1,000, which will be disbursed in two $500 installments
to pay for tuition expenses during the fall and spring semesters.
Recipients -
- The recipient must be a current or prospective female, African-American
or Native American student in good standing in accordance with current
institutional policies
- Must be a full-time student enrolled in a curriculum leading to the
Bachelor of Science
- Degree in computer science
- Must have and continue to maintain of minimum GPA of 3.0
Application Procedure - Using a word processor, please
prepare a statement of your career and educational goals and how the study
of computer science relate to them. The length of the statement must be
no more than two double-spaced pages. Send statement no later than Feb.
