Intro to Engineering Lab

The Introduction to Engineering Laboratory provides students with hands-on experiences in engineering design activities that relate to a variety of engineering disciplines. Students use general-purpose tools along with state-of-the-art computer hardware and software tools to assist in the construction and analysis of engineering designs. The laboratory experiences allow students who have already decided on an engineering major to see how their chosen discipline relates to other engineering disciplines. The laboratory activities also provide those students who have not yet decided on a particular engineering major with experiences that will help them make a choice.

The lab contains the following equipment:

  • Armfield Model HT30X-B Heat Exchanger Test System
  • Test Resources Model 1000M Universal Test System for tensile and compressive testing
  • Model NP-50 Computerized Hydrogen Fuel Cell Power Plant
  • Modal 110 Excitersystem
  • Flotek Wind Tunnel System
  • Ulta Sonic Flow Detector
  • 6 Electronic Learning Labs

This lab contines to be updated as new systems become available.
