Insurance and Financial Services Advisor
This is my fifth year serving on the Board of Trustees.
As an alumnus, it is difficult to pick a favorite, but as parents, our favorite thing about TTU is how students are able to receive a great education from a top ranked university.
My interest to serve as a trustee comes from a desire to give back to my alma mater and help improve the educational experience of my children.
I think TTUPA is important to TTU because parents who are active in the TTUPA have an increased success rate for their college student.
My vision for the Parent Association in the next 5 to 10 years is growth in membership and support. I would like to see the organization become a larger resource for parents. When a parent needs help we want them to think of TTUPA.
I currently have one student that’s a freshman and one that is a senior.
I think parents of college student’s struggle with the financial burden. The number one struggle today is how to make college more affordable and not over burden the college student with student loans when they start there working career.
My advice for other parents would be to stay connected. Let your student know you are there for them. We have so many ways to communicate that are inexpensive and instant. Use them.
