This is my second year working on the Board of Trustees.
My favorite things about TTU are the campus size and location.
My decision to serve on the Board of Trustees was for my daughter. I wanted to stay involved in my daughter's education.
TTUPA is important because it is a good way to stay in touch with your student and educators.
I see TTUPA in the future steadily growing and keeping parents in touch with the college and helping them take part in their child's experience.
I currently have on student who is studying engineering at TTU.
For me, my struggles dealt with seperation issues with my daughter. She is my only child. I worried about her safety, her roommate, and whether or not she would get the classes she needs for her major. But after going to SOAR, most of my worries were put to rest.
My advice to parents is to stay in touch with your child. However, at the same time parents should give their child space and I have found being a member of TTUPA helps me know whats going on and at the same gives my daughter her space.
