The TTU brass studios in the Department of Music and Art present a series of concerts each Fall and Spring semester, each concert highlighting the trumpet, horn, trombone, and tuba in a variety of musical settings. These performances, include recitals for chamber ensembles (duets, trios, quartets, quintets), individual recitals, a studio recital, student ensembles in which brass instruments play an integral role (i.e. brass quintet or other chamber ensemble), and concludes with concerts by the TTU Trumpet Ensemble, the TTU Horn Choir, the Tennessee Tech Trombone Choir, and the Tennessee Tech Tuba Ensemble.
Events of interest to brass players during the current semester may be found on the events page, or you may browse the Music Department's calendar of events for a complete listing of recitals. Information about other performing ensembles in the department may be found on their respective pages.
We are also home to the Brass Arts Chamber Quintet, the brass quintet in residence at Tennessee Tech, made up of faculty members Charles Decker and Chris McCormick, trumpets; Greg Danner, horn; Joshua Hauser, trombone; and R. Winston Morris, tuba.
