Tennessee Tech's Department of Accounting created an opportunity for accounting students to study international accounting and business and included a visit to the United Kingdom during Spring Break as part of their educational experience. The course allows a student to earn three credit hours from a combination of classroom preparation and international travel.
- » Spring Break Accounting Trip Details
- The trip is chaperoned by a minimum of two Accounting Faculty members.
- The trip lasts for 8 days.
- Funding for travel is provided by the University, with the remainder being provided by the students.
- Applications are available at the beginning of the Fall semester and are usually due by mid-October.
- The experience includes a mix of visits to manufacturing facilities, university campuses, accounting firms, as well as cultural sites such as Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, and many other activities.
Beta Alpha Psi is the Honor Society for Financial Information Professionals. Membership requires a minimum GPA of 3.0, an initial national life-time membership fee, and very modest annual chapter dues. The Zeta Phi Chapter at Tennessee Tech has been named a National Superior Chapter for many years, and is very active in the local community. Annual activities include Meet-the-Firms Night, 5K Glow Run, and the Spring Bean Counters' Scramble.

you! The organization promotes managerial accounting, internal auditing, and governmental
accounting and sponsors social events annually to help you build professional connections.

Established in 2018, the SCPT is a student chapter of the National Center for Public Trust, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. The organization is focused on helping you develop a solid foundation for ethical decision making in a professional work environment. Membership is open to any Tech student.
