    On the Web, On Your Phone, In Your Email

    TTUalert is the emergency notification system for Tennessee Tech.  When there is an emegency on campus, Tennessee Tech will make every effort to notify the campus community, including students, parents, the city of Cookeville. We do this through multiple communication mediums.

    Text Alerts

    TTUalert offers text messaging notifications directly to your cell phone in the case of an emergency on campus.  This service is provided by Rave Alerts, one of the leading emergency notification companies providing service to campuses nationwide. Sign up today for text and e-mail alerts about campus emergencies, inclement weather notices, crime alerts and other critical information.

    The Web Site

    When there is an emergency on campus, the Tennessee Tech web site will have a yellow "emergency" banner across the top of every page with information about the emergency.  This banner will link to a page with blog entries about the emergency.

    If the emergency escalates, Tennessee Tech will activate its Emergency Web Site system.  This system essentially shuts down the main University web site and puts an emergency blog with up to date information in its place.

    Your E-mail

    Tennessee Tech will send out information concerning any emergency to all faculty, staff, and students on campus through the campus e-mail system.

    What if My Parents Want to be Notified?

    Within the student's administrative area for their TTUalert account, they can add multiple numbers for text messaging notifications.  In this area, may enter a contact number for one or multiple relatives, including parents, their spouse, or children.  These additional numbers will recieve the same notifications that are sent out to the campus community, and will be contain "TTU" at the beginning of the message(s).
