TTU Computer Software Policy

TTU licenses the use of most of its computer software from a variety of outside companies. The University does not own this software or its related documentation and, unless authorized by the software developer, does not have the right to reproduce it.

TTU faculty, staff, and students shall use software only in accordance with the license agreement.

TTU faculty, staff, or students who make, acquire, or use unauthorized copies of computer software will be disciplined as appropriate under the circumstances.

According to the U. S. Copyright Law, illegal reproduction of software can be subject to civil damages of $50,000 or more, and criminal penalties including fines and imprisonment.
