What is TTU ResNet?
The TTU Residential Networking Project (ResNet) will provide full Internet connectivity for students with personal computers living in campus residence halls. The first phase of the ResNet Project will make network connections available in Jobe Hall and Maddux Hall beginning in January, 1999.
In order to connect to ResNet you will need to have a personal computer which meets specified hardware and software requirements and a 10Mbps Ethernet adapter (either built-in or an add-on card) with an RJ45 connector. See the document Hardware and Software Requirements for details.
Currently if you are in Jobe Hall or Maddux Hall the necessary structure is in place for you to have an Ethernet connection to the Internet. Please consult the Hardware and Software Requirements to find out what you will need to connect.
Access Using ResNet:
- TO the Internet
- NO access FROM the Internet to your computer
- FROM campus LAN (University Labs to your computer)
- TO campus LAN (your computer to your campus file space)
