Sisavanh Phouthavong - Mixed-Media, Collage and Installation

Joan Derryberry Art Gallery - 1st floor of the Roaden University Center
Ms. Phouthavong has a BFA in Painting from the University of Kansas and a MFA in Painting from SIU Carbondale. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Studio Arts in Painting at Middle Tennessee State University. She has shown her artwork around the country at various exhibits. Ms. Phouthavong's work includes mixed media drawings and paintings, along with installations that include videos.

Jarrod Houghton - Mixed-Media Shrines and Dioramas

Joan Derryberry Art Gallery - 1st Floor of the Roaden University Center
Mr. Houghton has a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Kansas and a MFA in Sculpture from SIU Carbondale. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Foundations at Middle Tennessee State University. His work has been shown in various venues around the country. Mr. Houghton's artwork consists of mixed-media shrines and dioramas that utilize the exhibition strategies of the museum. His current work investigates the role of presentation in his collection.

Skip Rohde - Oil Painting Political Themes

Joan Derryberry Art Gallery - 1st Floor Roaden University Center
Mr. Rohde reeived a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Tennessee Tech University in 1977 and an MBA from Marymount University in 1991. After a 22-year career as a Naval Officer, he received a BFA from University of North Carolina at Asheville. Currently, Mr. Rohde is a full-time professional artist. He has shown his artwork around the country, especially in the eastern part, from New York to the Carolinas.

Melissa Anne Morgan - Fiber Art, Surface Painting

Ms. Morgan has a BA in Painting from Denison University (Granville, OH) and a MFA in Printmaking from Tyler School of Art, Temple University. She has won awards and shown her work in exhibits around the country.
February 11 - March 7, 2008
Zachary Orcutt - Mechanical Sculpture
February 14, 4:30pm Reception/Gallery talk
Mr. Orcutt has a BFA in Sculpture from Syracuse University and a MFA in Sculpture from Bowling Green State University. He has taught at the University level and is currently a production welder for the service industry. His sculpture has been exhibited around the country and internationally in Argentina and in Italy.
March 10 - April 4, 2008
David T. Hannon - Oil Painting, Surrealist Landscapes
April 3, 4:30pm Reception/Gallery talk

Mr. Hannon has a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and a MFA in Painting from Indiana University. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Painting at Ball State University. Mr. Hannon's oil on canvas paintings have been exhibited around the country.

Shelley Murney - B & W Landscape Photography

Ms. Murney received a BA in Art from University of California Santa Cruz, a MA in
Studio Art from University of Iowa, and a MFA in Studio Art from University of Montana.
Ms. Murney is currently a full-time Lecturer, Photography Department Head for the Art
Department as Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA. She has exhibited her
photograhpy around the country.
