Mr. Sierralta has a BFA from the University of Nebraska/Lincoln and an MFA from the University of Nebrasha/Omaha. He is currently a Term Faculty at Concordia University teaching art classes and Spanish. His work reflects his experience as an immigrant, not in a political way, but as a visual representation using organic forms and natural motifs. According to Sierralta, "The examination of ambiguous, yet familiar forms, such as seed-bearing fruits and vegetables, pollen, root systems, etc., are used to create the idea of dispersion and growth symbolizing relocation and prosperity in another land." His family came from Chile and while they retain many Chilean customs, they have adapted to the American way of life.

In the tradition of the Jubilee Singers and the Fairfield Four, The Princely Players offer evocative and stunning programs on the enslavement and liberation of African-Americans. The eight-member ensemble has performed their unique program of spirituals, work songs, hyms, and songs of freedom at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Yale University, Ryman Auditorium, Little Rock's Festival of Religious Arts, and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC - among many others.

"A Night With Herman Boone - Lesson in Diversity"

Mr. Boone's inspirational story was captured in the Disney film Remember the Titans. He is the former football coach of T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, VA. Ms. Glessner is a fiber artist whose media are usually beeswax, encaustic, and
oil paint on silk. Her work is concerned with raising questions in the viewer's
mind concerning how all of creation-the universe, earth, nature, and humanity
all coexist, connect, and interweave. Patterns and textures are inspired by
satellite photography, comparing the vastness of the cosmos with the body and
the world of cells. The rivers and bodies of water on earth are compared to the
blood that runs through our veins. The artist currently resides in Philadelphia,
PA.

Russell Simmons" HBO Def Poetry during the first season. Since being an instrumental force in the spoken word scene in his hometown of Chicago, J. Ivy has gone on to perform throughout the United States at colleges, special engagements, headlining concerts and more. The Terra Nova Consort was founded with the idea of exploring ethnic influences on the performance of early music. Terra Nova has been actively involved in educational programs through Southern Oregon University, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Oregon Arts Commission, Elderhostel, and the Seattle Early Music Guild. Ms. Gerhauser has a BA with sculpture emphasis from the University of California in Santa Cruz. She has an MFA in Visual Studies from Old Dominion University & Norfolk State University, both in Norfolk, VA. She describes her work as developing from themes of transience and transformation and explores connections between the natural world and human material culture. The sculptures feature iron with the continuous process of oxidizing and returning to the natural form (through rust), along with the handmade Kozo paper which is used like a skin on the iron armature. The outdoor sculptures are temporary and the indoor sculptures are built for the exhibit space. Ms. Gerhauser is currently an assistant professor of art at the University of Texas at Tyler in Tyler, TX.

The Amelia Piano Trio (violin, cello, and piano) is a sought-after ensemble since taking prizes at international competitions and becoming a National Public Radio Young Ensemble in Residence. The Trio tours widely throughout North America and Europe. Their commitments reach beyond music to AIDS projects in Hartford, and abused children's home, and to the Dayton Children's Hospital. Mr. Ruske, horn soloist, has established himself as an artist of international acclaim. Named Associate Principal horn of The Cleveland Orchestra at the age of 20, he also toured and recorded extensively during his six-year tenure as hornist of the Empire Brass Quintet. His impressive solo career began when he won the 1986 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, First Prize in the 1987 American Horn competition, and in 1988, the highest prize in the Concours International d'Interpretation Musicale in Reims, France. http://www.ameliapianotrio.com

in Washington, DC, where she consults with institutions and others about
achieving equity for women and is and Adjunct Associate Professor at Drexel
University College of Medicine. She formerly wrote a quarterly newsletter,
About Women on Campus. She has given over 2500 presentations, has written more than 100 articles and is well-known for her expertise in women's educational equity in general. She played a major role in the development and passage of Title IX and other laws prohibiting sex discrimination in education, and has been associated with Title IX longer than any other person. "He could be a major tenor of his generation.," says The New York Sun. Tenor Philippe Castagner has won numerous international competitions already at this young age. He has had recital debuts in New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C. and has appeared with the New York City Opera, the Metropolitan Opera and as a soloist in Handel's Messiah in Carnegie hall's Stern Auditorium. Mr. Johnson has a BFA from the University of Texas at Tyler, and an MFA from Louisiana State University. His works are mixed media on canvas. A self proclaimed narrative artist, he uses a cartoon drawing style that suggests a humorous approach that conceals the serious tones of the content from the viewer's initial response. This exhibit will explore the connection between bully, victim, and onlooker, which is relevant to today's world with a deep meaning that is presented in a non-threatening way.

A veteran of three presidential campaigns, Susan Estrich is currently a law professor at the University of Southern California, having previously hosted "The Susan Estrich Show" on KABC radio in Los Angeles. Ms. Estrich is a contributing editor of The Los Angeles Times and a former Thursday columnist for USA Today. She currently writes a nationally syndicated column that appears weekly in such publications as The Washington Post, The Boston Herald, and The Houston Chronicle. Her weekly column also appears on America Online's "The Great Debate: Talk Politics with the Pundits." Hosted by the Tech Ladies Coalition.
