AIChE – American Institute of Chemical Engineers

TTU’s student chapter of AIChE is designed to promote the profession and bring chemical engineering students together based on their common interests and goals. Students achieve professional development as well as personal development as active members. Upperclassmen help guide underclassmen, and strong friendships are formed through scholarly and social activities.

ΩXE – Omega Chi Epsilon, Beta Rho Chapter

The Society of Omega Chi Epsilon (ΩXE) is a national honor society for undergraduates and graduates within the Chemical Engineering Department. The Society promotes high scholarship, encourages original investigation in chemical engineering and recognizes the valuable traits of character, integrity and leadership. TTU received its charter for the Beta Rho chapter in 1999. Junior, senior, and graduate students are invited to join based on scholarship, leadership, and character.

Tau Beta Pi

Tau Beta Pi is the only engineering honor society representing the entire engineering profession. It is the nation’s second-oldest honor society, founded at Lehigh University in 1885 to recognize stuents of distinguished scholarship and exemplary character. There are now collegiate chapters at 229 U.S. colleges and universities and active alumnus chapters in 16 districts across the country.
