Awards and Honors

Dr. Pedro Arce receives the 2006 TTU College of Engineering Dean Advisory Award for "A Life Commitment to Improve Engineering Learning and Leadership Skills as Chair."

Dr. Joseph Biernacki recipient of the 2006 William H. Corcoran Award of the National ChE Division of ASEE for his paper entitled "A Quantitative Course-level Strategy for Using ABET-based Assessment Outcomes," Chem. Eng. Ed., 39(3) 186-193 (2005).

Dr. Donald P. Visco, Jr. receives the Leighton Sissom Innovation and Creativity Award of the TTU College of Engineering, the Brown-Henderson Award of the TTU College of Engineering for his outstanding teaching efforts, and the Fahien Award of the National ChE Division of the ASEE awarded to educators who have shown outstanding teaching effectiveness and educational scholarship in the first ten years as a faculty member (2006).

Dr. Chunsheng Wang, appointed jointly with the Center for Manufacturing Research, has been named the 2006 Sigma Xi research award winner for his paper, "Solvent-Free Composite PEO-Ceramic Fiber/Mat Electrolytes for Lithium Secondary Cells," published in the first 2005 issue of the Journal of The Electrochemical Society.
