Co-operative Program

Though not required, many students participate in co-operative education (co-op) which allows students to demonstrate the utility of their education in a real-world setting. Co-op positions normally last one year, but can be as short as a few months, depending on the employer. Some popular companies include Bowater, Milliken, DuPont, Honeywell, Bechtel and others. Graduate students must be enrolled in the program for at least 9 months to participate in the co-op program.
