Cary 3E UV-visible spectrophotometer

Cary 3E UV/VIS Spectrophotometer

Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy is primarily a quantitative analytical technique concerned with the absorption of near-ultraviolet (180 - 390 nm) or visible (390 - 780 nm) radiation by molecules in solution. UV/VIS can be used to quantify both organic and inorganic species. The Cary 3E is a double-beam research-grade instrument for laboratories doing analyses of biological or highly absorbing samples. The spectrometer lets you collect spectra between 190 and 900 nm. Location: Foster Hall 105.
