Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences Program

The Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences program is being offered jointly through the Department of Chemistry and the Biology Department. TTU is the only university in the state to offer this interdisciplinary Ph.D. program. Research on any activity that impacts the environment (in any way) is defined as a candidate for research in this program. This includes research and analysis of all living things in our ecosystem (including human health and well-being) as well as the environmental constraints and impacts of man-made environments (biospheres, sub-marine facilities, long distance space flight, etc.).
