Chemistry
Inorganic chemistry is the study of the structure,
properties, and reactions of the chemical elements and their compounds,
not including those classified as organic compounds (covalent carbon-based
compounds). This branch of chemistry is responsible for creating
and characterizing a wide array of novel and useful substances,
such as superconductors, semiconductors, chelating agents, chemotherapeutic
agents, and a host of others.
