Jumpstart College

If you’re interested in taking more than one course, you may register for many other courses offered during the second summer term. In other words, by taking a full load (six or more hours), you will truly be getting a jumpstart into college.

If you would like to be a full-time student beginning July 2007, we suggest Geography 1130, the Geography of Natural Hazards. In this course, you not only study hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados and tsunamis, but also the underlying geography that causes them to occur. The course will be offered Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 11:40 p.m. (See the sample schedule below.)

For other summer course options, see General Education Core Course Offerings, and for more information on costs go to Bursar's Office.
