Definition of Minors: A minor is usually 15-18 credit hours. A student may elect to complete more than one minor.

  • Caregiving Minor

    The courses will cover issues related to care, safety, nutrition, insurance, legal, finances, respite, stress, resource availability, and other important caregiving concepts.

    *12 hours of which must be upper division 3000/4000

  • Event Planning Minor

    The event planning minor introduces students to this fast-growing field as they learn to plan, promote, and manage events. Students will learn and participate in all aspects of organizational event planning, including creating a theme and associated promotional materials; selecting and reserving sites; coordinating activities, equipment, speakers, and transportation; and managing risks and developing contingency plans. Whether students aspire to become professional event planners or simply want to enhance their organizational and project management skills, this course will provide them with the necessary foundation to excel in the dynamic field of event planning and management.
