Cumberland Microcomputer Users' Group

CMUG has been disbanded but leaves the following web site online for interested users. Users interested in the nearest users group should contact the Plateau PC Users' Group (Crossville, TN)

Cumberland Microcomputer Users Group (CMUG) is the Upper Cumberland's PC-based computer club. Members include a wide variety of people such as students, business people, homemakers, senior citizens, computer professionals, and others coming together in monthly meetings to share information, help each other, and discuss current issues and trends involving the wonderful world of personal computers.

The club meets at the Putnam County Public Library on the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm in the lower-level meeting room accessed through the rear entrance. Guest speakers give interesting and timely talks or demonstrations about some aspect of computers. We invite you to attend a meeting or two to see if you would like to participate.

Nominal dues are $10/year for students, $20 for other individuals, and $25 for families. Club dues defray the cost of publishing our monthly newsletter, purchasing public domain software for distribution to members, and donating books about the computer field for the Putnam County Public Library. The newsletter reports club activities and events, highlights of the Executive Committee and regular club meetings, subjects of interest, helpful hints, and reviews of software and computer books.

You do not have to have a computer to join us; just an interest in computers. As a service to the community, CMUG offers the following Internet resources arranged by category for your use. We hope you will find these links a fun beginning to surfing on the Internet. We look forward to seeing YOU at our next meeting!
