Wynne E. Baker

Wynne is the member in charge of KraftCPAs' Banking Industry Team. In addition to audit and accounting services, the group provides compliance and loan reviews, litigation support, stock valuations, analysis of mergers/acquisitions, outsourced internal audit, and a myriad of other services designed to meet the special needs of financial institutions.

He graduated from Tennessee Technological University. As well as being a CPA, Wynne earned the chartered bank auditor certificate (CBA) awarded by the Bank Administration Institute, is a "preferred examiner" under the American Bankers Association Preferred Audit Program, is a certified financial services auditor (CFSA), and is certified in financial forensics (CFF) awarded by the AICPA.

Wynne has done training for the FDIC and OCC and has spoken at several Tennessee Banker Association Conferences. In 1989 he was presented Tennessee Society of CPAs' "Public Service Award". He was presented the "Outstanding Speaker Award" by the Florida Institute of CPAs in four consecutive years and has received the same award from the Tennessee Society of CPAs for several years. In 1999 he was presented the Louis B. Johnson "Outstanding Business Alumnus Award" by Tennessee Technological University College of Business.

In 2000 he was awarded the "Distinguished Service Award" from the Tennessee Society of CPAs.

He is the author of the AICPA's premier bank course, Introduction to Bank Accounting and Auditing, and was co−editor of the Handbook of Financial Management for Banks published by McGraw Hill. Wynne has assisted clients in buying failed banks from the FDIC and has consulted others who started new banks. He has also served as an expert witness in court cases related to bank failures and frauds. With 38 years of experience serving financial institutions, Wynne has a national reputation as an authority in this area. He has conducted seminars across the nation and has published articles on financial institution issues. Wynne is registered with the AICPA's Peer Review Program as a qualified peer reviewer.

Wynne was named as one of Tennessee's Finest Accountants in 2009 by BusinessTN magazine, and he was named to the 2010 list of Accounting's Finest, published by Nashville Post magazine.

 


David Morgan, CPA/PFS

David has a wide range of experience in accounting, auditing, and tax. In addition to working with family owned businesses, he also heads the firm's Family Office practice where he works with high wealth individuals and family groups.  Services provided to these individuals include personal financial planning, estate planning, retirement planning, insurance consulting and investment advisory services.  His experience in managing the Firm has also allowed him to gain general business expertise that he shares with companies with which he consults.  In 2008, David was named by Accounting Today as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting.

David is a summa cum laude graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a degree in accounting.  He has continued his education through ongoing professional education programs offered by various professional groups.  In addition, he holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. David is also a licensed life and health insurance agent.

A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, David resides in Brentwood.· He has two sons, both married, and three grandchildren.

Jerry Rhyne is in charge of the finance and business services division that includes finance and accounting, human resources, legal services, investment services, corporate purchasing, facility and risk management, corporate services, logistics, and conference centers.  Jerry earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tennessee Technological University and a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.  He has also completed additional graduate studies at the University of Tennessee.  He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Tennessee Society of CPAs, and Financial Executives International.
