Accounting Club

Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in accounting are welcome to attend meetings and become members with the payment of $10 dues. The organization promotes managerial accounting, internal auditing, and governmental accounting and sponsors one to two social events annually. Notices concerning meetings are posted throughout Johnson Hall at the beginning of each semester.

Alpha Kappa Psi

This national coed business fraternity uses a rush procedure to obtain members. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate business or industrial technology majors and business minors who have at least a 2.1 QPA may pledge. The chapter sponsors professional speakers, service projects, and social activities.

APICS

Advisor: Dr. R. "Nat" Natarajan
The TTU student chapter of APICS, the Association for Operations Management, is open to any TTU student interested in Production and Operations Management. Student members may attend the professional development meetings and plant tours organized by the parent chapter, the Upper Cumberland Chapter of APICS.

The Association of InformationTechnology Professionals (AITP)

Students interested in a career in business computing and information systems may join this organization. In general, Business Management, Option BUIN (Management Information Systems) students comprise the majority of the membership, but freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior business students are encouraged to join.

Beta Alpha Psi

Advisor: Dr. Dan Fesler
Accounting majors of at least junior standing with an overall QPA of 3.0 and a 3.0 QPA in all accounting courses may become members of this national accounting fraternity. Professional meetings highlighting speakers from such areas as the IRS, the State Audit Department, public accounting firms, and industry are held throughout the year. Tutoring is made available through members of this organization. Beta Alpha Psi members participate in service projects and attend regional and annual meetings.

Beta Gamma Sigma

Advisor: Dr. Curtis Armstrong
Advisor: Dr. Mary Pashley
Membership in this organization represents national recognition of scholastic achievement. Membership is by election and invitation, and those eligible include students who rank in the upper 7% of the junior class, the upper 10% of the senior class, and the upper 20% of the graduate class. Induction is in the spring, and students are recognized at an annual awards banquet.

College of Business Student Ambassadors

Advisor: Ms. Julie Galloway
CBA Student Ambassadors are students from all business majors whose activities include assisting at college and university functions; recruiting new students through visits and correspondence; and promoting college spirit through events like Business Foundations meetings, Homecoming activities, etc. Ambassadors must be at least sophomores and have at least a 2.5 GPA. New Ambassadors are selected each spring semester by an application and interview process.

International Business Society (IBS)

This new student organization in the College of Business is open to all TTU students interested in international business , study tours abroad, and study abroad programs. The members of this organization will assist with the annual Window on the World festival. Other activities include field trips to companies that do business globally, special projects involving other countries, and arranging presentations on international business topics.

Marketing Club

Advisor: Dr. Julie Pharr
The Marketing Club is a service organization open to all marketing majors and business students. The club focuses on career development and job placement in the marketing field. Recruiting occurs in the fall; however, students may join the club at any time. Activities include monthly meetings, guest lectures, fund-raisers, participation in National Marketing Week, and various social events. The Mark eting Club has won numerous international honors for business scholarship as well as club activities from the professional division of the American Mark eting Association.

MBA Student Association

Any MBA student may join the association and attend its meetings, which are primarily professional and emphasize such areas as curriculum and professional development. The Association funds a scholarship, issues a bi-annual newsletter, publishes an alumni directory, and hosts social events.

Omicron Delta Epsilon

Economics, finance, and agricultural economics majors may become members of this organization by invitation. Juniors and seniors with a 3.0 QPA in at least twelve semester hours of economics courses are considered for membership.

Society for the Advancement of Finance and Economics (SAFE)

is open to all students interested in a finance or economics major. Letters concerning the organization are mailed to students who have declared such majors, but interested freshmen and sophomores are also welcome to join. Activities include guest lectures, a fund-raiser, and social events. The society also helps coordinate the internship program. Tutoring is made available through members of this organization.

Society for the Advancement of Management (SAM)

Advisor: Dr. Rodley Pineda
All students interested in leadership or business management are encouraged to join SAM. This club focuses on the professional development of its members through guest lectures, fund-raisers, social events, and community service. In the spring, members will also have the opportunity to attend the SAM International Conference and compete in the case competition. Membership fees are $45 and includes a one-year subscription to the "SAM Advanced Management Journal". Students are welcome to join at anytime.

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)

Advisor: Dr. Tom Timmerman
SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management, is open to anyone interested in Human Resource Management. This organization provides a great opportunity to learn from local Human Resource Management professionals. Internships, scholarships, and online job listings are available. Students enrolled for at least 6 credit hours are eligible to become national members for $35 a year and receive award-winning SHRM publications.
