LASSI

The Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) is designed to help students develop and expand their awareness of study strategies. The LASSI helps students identify areas of knowledge, skills, motivation, and attitudes related to study skills that may need to be improved. The LASSI is administered in conjunction with academic counseling.

Initially, a student experiencing academic difficulties will meet with a counselor to determine if the LASSI is an appropriate tool for him or her and to learn more about how the results may help the student be more successful academically. If appropriate, an appointment will be scheduled to take the LASSI which takes most students about thirty minutes to complete. The student will then schedule another appointment to review the results. During this appointment, the student will discuss study strategies and learn about academic resources.

There is no cost to take the LASSI, but you must be a currently enrolled and registered TTU student. To schedule an appointment with a counselor to discuss taking the LASSI, call the Counseling Center at 372-3331.
