Confidentiality Policy
All information gathered during counseling sessions,
including the fact that the client has come to the Counseling Center,
is held in strict confidence. No information is released to university
officials, faculty members, parents, or outside agencies except
on written request by the client or if there is a threat to life
or as required by law. The staff may consult with each other to
better serve the client.
New technology has introduced all of us to the wonders
of e-mail, and the TTU Counseling Center staff shares your enthusiasm
for it! However, e-mail should not be construed
to be a confidential means of communication. Due to the confidential
nature of our counseling services, the staff members of the TTU
Counseling Center respectfully request that you contact us in person or by phone if you would like to schedule an appointment or for assistance with a personal concern. Please do not contact us by e-mail.
