Emergencies

An emergency can occur anytime and may require immediate action. The following are examples of emergency situations:

Any reference to suicide should be taken very seriously and a referral to the Counseling Center is strongly advised. If the reference includes any mention of details of a suicide plan, immediate response is critical. The Counseling Center is located on the 3rd floor of the Roaden University Center in room 307.  You can also contact the office at 931-372-3331.  If no counselors from the Counseling Center are able to respond, please call 911 for immediate assistance.

Some Warning Signs of Suicide

For any behavior posing an imminent threat to the student him/herself, behaviors that are threatening to others, behaviors involving weapons, or other intimidating behaviors immediately contact:

How to Respond to an Emergency
