14th Annual Celebration of Craft

EXPERIENCE. LEARN. ENJOY.
- EXPERIENCE narrated studio demonstrations! Watch as artists teach you about blacksmithing, metal jewelry making, wheel throwing and handbuilding in clay, fabric weaving and dyeing, glass blowing, metalsmithing, woodturning, and furniture making.
- MAKE your own art in a mini workshop! Adults and kids 12 and older can sign up the day of the event. You can take your project home, and there will be a small fee for these activities to cover materials. More info about this coming soon!
- BRING the kids of all ages for hands-on craft activities, including clay handbuilding, paper marbling, photography, and tiny tot necklaces. There will be a $1 fee per child, which includes all of the kid's craft activities.
- BUILD-a-BOWL in support of Habitat for Humanity and Cookeville's Cooking on the Square event. Visitors are invited to handbuild a ceramic bowl to donate to Habitat for Humanity.
- LISTEN to live musical performances
- SHOP in The Gallery - 10% discount for all visitors this day only.
TTU employees receive a 20% discount with their valid TTU Eagle Card this day only. - SUPPORT art education by purchasing commemorative Celebration t-shirts, aprons, and marbled silk scarves. Proceeds help fund the Craft Center's educational outreach programs for middle and high school students in this area.
- FEAST on great food by the Redbud Cafe, including a variety of hearty sandwiches, wraps, side items, sweet treats, and much more!
- DISCOVER great new work by students in the Visual Art Society's Fine Craft Sale.
All proceeds from the Celebration of Craft directly support the Appalachian Center for Craft's educational art outreach programs, serving students in Tennessee's Upper Cumberland Region.
