Housing at the Craft Center
Freshmen are not eligible for housing at the Craft Center.
For the purpose of determining Craft Center housing eligibility only, "Freshmen" is defined as students who have not completed two full-time semesters of college coursework (minimum 24 semester hours) post high school graduation. All requests for a waiver or an exception must be submitted in writing to the Director of the Craft Center. Exceptions will be considered for students the age of 24 and over, and/or students with a substantial professional-level involvement in one or more of the Craft Center studio media.
A minimum of 6 credit hours per semester is required for eligibility to reside in Craft Center housing.
The 2007-08 semester rates:
- Refundable security deposit (required for all housing occupants): $100.00
- Double occupancy bedroom: $775.00
- Single occupancy bedroom (single rooms are not guaranteed): $1,550.00
- Between semester rate (fall/spring holiday housing; optional): $100.00
Before You Are Assigned a Room:
Students must be admitted to TTU before arriving to occupy housing. Anyone who wants to live in Craft Center housing must submit a signed housing application and a $100.00 security deposit before a housing assignment can be made.
It is to the student’s advantage to send in the application and deposit as early as possible, as there are a limited number of rooms. (The security deposit is a one-time-only fee; the deposit is refunded only when students move permanently out of Craft Center housing; a new housing application is required each semester.)
