The Craft Center offers 50+ hands-on craft workshops each year in blacksmithing, clay, fibers, glass, metals, and wood. We offer classes for all skill levels, from the beginner to studio professionals.

For 2012, the Craft Center is making some customer-requested changes to the schedule! You will have the opportunity take a weekend or week-long class in May, June, and July, instead of having all the weekend and week-long classes grouped together, as we have done in the past. You told us that this made it harder for you to find dates that fit your schedule, and we hope these changes offer more flexibility for you.

Other information for the 2012 workshop season:

* You asked us for it, and we will be offering housing for all summer workshops in 2012. For more information about housing, please go to http://www.tntech.edu/craftcenter/accommodations/.

* The on-site restaurant, the Redbud Cafe, will be serving up fine dining again in 2012. As part of your workshop experience in the summer, you can enjoy our award-winning chef Chad Combs' scrumptious breakfast options. For lunch and dinner, you can try his delicious entrees, homemade soups, gourmet sandwiches, savory salads, fresh-baked sweets, and more. * For 2012, the Craft Center has a limited number of $1000 scholarships for the intensive workshops (18-day session runs July 24-August 10, 2012) for those who qualify. We will also offer a limited number of $250 scholarships to support the cost of a one-week workshop. The deadline to apply is MAY 4, 2012.

    ** These $1000 scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis to participants who enroll in one of the intensive workshops (July 24-August 10).     REGISTRATION FOR 2012 WORKSHOP SESSIONS:
    Workshop listings by medium are available by clicking on the studio links in the navigation bar above and to the left.

    • An evening clay workshop is available during spring and fall semesters. Information about the spring clay workshop is currently available, click here. Please check back for more information about the fall 2012 workshop. 
    • Weekend (Friday-Sunday) workshops will be offered in May, June, and July 2012 (class starts Friday evening).
    • Intensive workshops will run from July 24 - August 10, 2012, available for 3 hours of credit from TTU. (check-in Tues. evening, class starts Wednesday morning)
    • One-week (Sunday-Friday) workshops are offered May, June, and July, 2012 (available for 1 hour of credit from TTU, class starts Sunday evening).
