Welcome to Workshops at the Appalachian Center for Craft!

The Craft Center offers over 50 hands-on craft workshops in our five studios.

Workshops include: Blacksmithing, Clay, Fibers, Glass, Metals, and Wood

We offer classes for all skill levels, from the beginner to studio professionals.

New in 2014, the Craft Center is adding Half-Week Workshops!
Want to spend more than a weekend, but can't take an entire week off work? These half-week will run Wednesday evening to Sunday afternoon.

Room & Board:
We will be offering housing for all summer workshops in 2014. For more information about housing, please go to

Student Scholarships:
The Appalachian Center for Craft’s student scholarship program awards half price workshop fees to applicants on a competitive basis.  Any student enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate art degree program during the spring semester of 2014 is eligible.

Workshop listings by medium are available by clicking on the studio links in the navigation bar above and to the left.

  • Evening clay and fibers workshops are available during spring and fall semesters. Check the Clay workshop page or the Fibers workshop page for updated information.
  • Weekend (Friday-Sunday) workshops will be offered in May, June, July, and August 2014 (class starts Friday evening).
  • Half-Week (Wednesday-Sunday) workshops will be offered in  July, and August 2014 (class starts Wednesday evening).
  • One-week (Monday-Sunday) workshops are offered June, July, and August 2014 (available for 1 hour of credit from TTU, class starts Monday evening).
