We are excited to announce that for the first time since 2003, Tennessee Tech's yearbook, The Eagle, is being published in a hard back edition. The Eagle chronicles students, faculty, and staff as well as events across the University.
Pre-orders are now ready for pick-up! Come to the Eagle Yearbook / Student Media Office (RUC-376) to pick up your pre-ordered yearbook(s) anytime between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (except lunch hour) beginning Tuesday, April 24.
Yearbooks available for purchase: A limited number of yearbooks are available to purchase. Yearbooks are available in the Lobby of the Roaden University Center Monday-Friday, April 23-27, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. If you are unable to come during those hours, the yearbooks are also available in the Eagle Yearbook / Student Media Office, RUC-376, during regular office hours. The price is $40 and can be paid for by cash or check (made out to the Eagle Yearbook).

THE EAGLE IS HIRING!
The Eagle, TTU’s student-run yearbook, is taking applications for the following positions:
Assistant Editor:
The assistant editor, whom works directly under the editor-in-chief, handles the jobs assigned by the editor in chief. The assistant editor will help with the theme pages, read all copy and proofs, help with corrections, manage deadlines, work directly with section editors and writers, teach design as necessary and help set up design concepts for each section as necessary, including style sheets and libraries. The assistant editor may be responsible for section editors or be a liaison with the section editors to make sure that pages are being designed in a timely manner.
Student Life, Organizations (Clubs), Sports,
Academics/Directory Section Editor:
These editors are responsible for the development of every aspect of their section. The sections are student life, organizations/clubs, sports, academics/directory and ads/community. All editors are responsible for creating design concepts, a coverage plan, sidebar and alternative copy plans. All editors are also responsible for checking the work of those working for them to make sure quality and deadlines are adhered to. Section editors will be responsible working before the final deadlines so that the editor-in-chief/managing editors/adviser can see progress. Section editors may be responsible for the indexing of their section, if the book includes an index. Section editors will work as part of the leadership team to do whatever is required to get the yearbook done on time and with the quality required.
Student Life, Organizations (Clubs), Sports Reporter:
These members are responsible for individual stories for each deadline. They are responsible for interviewing, reporting, writing story spreads according to design specifications, rewriting when necessary, taking photos, writing captions, getting photos cropped, getting story to their sections editors before deadlines, writing headlines, and having stories approved before deadline.
Business Manager:
The leader of the ad sales campaign. The Business Manager balances the budget, provides a report of income and expenses, organizes additional fundraising efforts if necessary, keeps up with ad sales, prepares billing information, writes receipts, and reports to editor-in-chief and adviser.
(2) Advertising Salespersons:
These members assist the Business Manager in the sales of advertising to community businesses. Advertising assistants help to provide financial stability to the yearbook and are responsible for reporting to the Business Manager, writing receipts, talking to business leaders, visiting local businesses, and building advertising leads.
To apply, submit a letter of application, including your reasons for applying, any experience you have working on The Eagle (including dates), any other yearbook staff experience, design experience, or any other experience that would benefit the yearbook. Also include a current resume. Submit materials to Mrs. Eva Dingwall, the Journalism secretary, in RUC 376.
DEADLINE: Thursday, April 26 by 4:30 p.m.
