The courses that constitute the approved Math, ECE Junior, ECE Senior, ECE Laboratory, and Engineering/Math/Science/Business (E/M/S/B) electives for the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree are listed below. Students are encouraged to consult with their advisor when selecting elective courses.

ECE Senior Elective

Any ECE 4000-level 3 credit hour course, except for ECE 4810 and 4820, can be used for the ECE Senior Elective.

      • All 2000, 3000 and 4000 level courses except 2001, 2030, 2300, 3310, 3410 and 4320. For CSC 2110 and CSC 2120 courses, see note below:
    • CSC 2110 and CSC 2111 together will count for three credit hours toward the E/M/S/B elective. Also CSC 2120 and CSC 2121 together will count for three credit hours toward the E/M/S/B elective. CSC 2110 without CSC 2111 and CSC 2120 without CSC 2121 will not count for the E/M/S/B electives.
    • Only one of CSC 3020 and MATH 4210 may be taken for elective credit.

      • 1050, 1110*, 1120*, all 2000 and 3000 level courses except 3920 (* will count as 3 hours E/M/S/B credit).

      • 1120*, all 2000 and 3000 level courses except 2810 and 2820 (* will count as 3 hours E/M/S/B credit).
    • Physics (PHYS)
      • 1100, 2420, 2920, and all 3000 level courses.
  • Business

Notes

Individual study, individual problems, individual projects, design projects, recitation, seminar, thesis and similar courses may not be counted as E/M/S/B electives. Laboratory and one-credit courses may not be taken for E/M/S/B elective credit; lecture courses which include laboratory work may be taken for E/M/S/B elective credit.
