The mission of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Tennessee Technological University is to provide quality undergraduate and graduate education in the areas of electrical and computer engineering to enhance the competitiveness of our graduates in the job market and contribute to the economic, scientific, and social development of the Middle Tennessee area, the State of Tennessee, and the nation. The department will maintain a positive academic environment that promotes excellence in learning and research through constructive interaction between students, faculty, staff, industry, and community. The department will use available resources to instill state-of-the-art technical knowledge and research capabilities; to encourage critical thinking, problem solving skills, and ethical responsibility; and to develop students' verbal and written communication skills.
