Admission Requirements for 2+2 Program

• Submit Student Intent Form by December 1st with unofficial transcripts
• Admission to Tennessee Technological University
• Admission to upper division (Teacher Ed Program)*
• Completion of all pre-requisite courses (see curriculum sheet) and clear High School Deficiencies (Deadline to be admitted to TEP and TTU is June 15, 2008)

*Requirements for Upper Division (Teacher Ed Program)

• Minimum Test Score
• ACT score of 22 (Composite Score does not include the writing)
• Or Minimum SAT score 1020 (Composite Score does not include the writing)
• Or PPST (PRAXIS 1) must be passed-Minimum scores for each test: Math=173, Reading=174, and Writing=173
• 30 hours completed
• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Must maintain a "B" in any field experience or technology course
• Required classes:
  • English 1010, 1020 with a "C" or better
  • FOED 2011 & 1820(2) or equivalent course(s)
  • Upper Division pre-requisite Courses

*Once at that site, go to the Admission to Teacher Education link (NOT Admission to Student Teaching). You may fill out the application online and submit it. You will need to print out four (4) of the disposition forms to be distributed as described at the web site.

* Must be completed no later than the Spring before entering TTU's Fall Program

• Completion of Teacher Education Program Packet

Requirements for Student Teaching

• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Completion of all course work
• Passing all teacher licensure tests in area of concentration
• Must maintain a "B" in any field experience or technology course
