Tennessee Tech’s College of Education prepares educators to be competent, caring professionals for a diverse, technological society.
Our undergraduate program gives students a solid understanding of the content they will teach and of the arts and sciences. After completing the program, teacher candidates are skilled at maintaining a productive classroom environment and have a thorough knowledge of the learning process.
Teacher candidates spend a year in a classroom that matches their interests in the Ready2Teach program. In addition to their work in the classroom, TTU students work in the community with students and their families.
Graduate students broaden and diversify their talents to become educational administrators, and they keep their abilities sharp to meet the challenges of an ever-changing school environment.
Across all levels, TTU teacher candidates expand their respect and empathy for the individual, confident that every student can achieve excellence.
We encourage you to visit the College through an on-site visit. New and transfer students may contact Dean Matthew R. Smith’s office or the College Advising Center. It will be our pleasure to plan a program designed to meet your specific academic and professional needs.
TTU’s College of Education is partnering with Nashville’s Channel 4 to sponsor Apple for the Teacher, a program to recognize the best teachers in middle Tennessee. For the nomination form, click the logo below.
