Message from the Dean

Welcome to the Tennessee Technological University College of Engineering. At TTU we have a distinguished and long-standing heritage of excellence in instruction, scholarship, and service to our profession. Engineering is a dynamic profession and our faculties are dedicated to providing the best education possible for students at TTU who have chosen engineering as their future vocation.

My goal as the Interim Dean of Engineering is to continue our momentum by seeking additional opportunities for our College to contribute to University growth through continual enhancement of the educational programs that we deliver. Providing instruction firmly grounded in fundamental engineering principles and current technology that is integrated with a complementary research program continues to be our commitment and practice. Improving the quality of life for future generations is greatly dependent on advanced technology and products that will be developed by tomorrow's engineers. By keeping our programs innovative, progressive, and dynamic, the College of Engineering is poised to insure that our graduates will enter the workforce well-prepared and ready for the challenges that they will face.

I am excited by the changes that continually occur in the engineering profession and that are manifested within our College. Our students are filled with an extraordinary range of talent and potential, and I believe our faculties are meeting the challenge of providing the educational foundation needed to enable these men and women to realize their potential. Many of our alumni have already taken their place as leaders in industry, research, government, and academia.
