Professonal Communication majors are eligible for the following departmental scholarships:
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must be a Technical Communications major; must be an incoming freshman with an outstanding high school record or a sophomore junior, a senior with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA; must demonstrate strong leadership skills and a sincere commitment to community service. Preference shall be given to those involved in print media such as yearbook, newspaper, magazine, or anthology.
Must be a current undergraduate student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies and majoring in majoring in a field within the Department of English and Communications. Must have completed one or more creative writing courses at TTU before or during the award period. A portfolio of creative work is required for consideration.
Must be a current or prospective student majoring in a field within the Department of English and Communications and in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies, with a significant record of participation in, and contribution to, the Theatre program at TTU.
Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must be pursuing a bachelor of science degree in the area of technical communication as defined by the Department of English in consultation with the Dean of Arts & Sciences; must, if either an entering freshman or transfer student, have achieved at least a 3.0 GPA; must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA at TTU.
