My World Literature course deals with Postcolonial Literature from countries that were part of the British Empire. I am currently working at MTSU on my PhD in Anglophone literature of India, Africa, and the Caribbean.

Ashlee's responsibilities include aiding in the academic success for Tech's women's sports varsity student-athletes, managers, and graduate assistants by providing guidance and academic resources to permit student-athletes to maintain their academic eligibility under NCAA rules and to progress to graduation, as well as serving as a primary liaison between women's sports' coaches and faculty.  Additionally Ashlee teaches the occasional English 1010 or English 1020 course.

As assistant director of Alumni Relations, my main focus is to facilitate and strengthen relationships between the university and its alumni as well as relationships between alumni through face-to-face, written and digital communications.

Specifically, I am responsible for developing and maintaining the Alumni web site and Alumni social networking groups and pages, the Tech Connect Alumni e-newsletter and alumni-related print and email communications, and for assisting in planning and hosting Alumni events.

In addition to my position in Alumni Relations, I am adjunct instructor of professional communication for the Department of English and Communications and the College of Interdisciplinary Studies.
