TTU has some of the best trained instructors in the
area. They provide safe, effective and fun workouts so anyone can
achieve his or her fitness goals. Read on to learn more about the

Stephanie Brooks - Hardin
Instructor - certified
Stephanie has taught since Fall 2002 and has recently been certified as a Fitness Instructor. She can teach kickboxing and sculpting classes. Her hobbies or interests include shopping, reading, snow and water skiing and working with kids. She enjoys teaching because it keeps her motivated to stay in shape.
Diana Lalani
Instructor
Diana has been an aquatic exercise addict since first introduced in 2001. Knee problems led her to the discovery that water exercise really takes the stress off your joints. Her work and hobbies include organic gardening and fruit tree growing, stray animal rescue, and reading. She enjoys creating and leading party-like workouts.
Jill Robinson
Instructor - certified
Jill is a new instructor with many years of classical dance under her belt. She will be teaching a traditional Aerobic Dance class. Her hobbies include snow skiing and shopping. She enjoys teaching because she wants to help people get fit and have fun moving!
Kande McBride
Instructor - certified
Kande has taught for 4 years. She can teach aquatic exercise classes. Her interests include assisting the local volunteer fire department and restoring ancient dwellings. She enjoys teaching because she loves spreading the word of wellness to others.
Kasey Carson-McGee
Instructor
Kasey has just started teaching fitness classes and is excited that she gets to help people reach their own goals. She is a graduate assistant in the Health Promotion office at the Fitness Center. She is getting her Masters in Pyschology. Her hobbies include playing her dog, Huey, that she rescued from the animal shelter and traveling with her husband.
Petti Groth
Instructor - certified
Petti has taught for the three years. Her certifications include: yoga, pilates and mind/body personal training. She teaches yoga and pilates. Her hobbies include scrap booking, stamping, traveling, cooking (and eating), cycling, and snow skiing. She enjoys teaching because she believes that no matter what your current fitness level you can achieve practical fitness benefits from yoga and pilates.
Katy Long
Instructor
Katy has taught fitness classes for 2 years. She is currently teaching fitness classes in Europe while being an exchange student. She has studied dance for 14 years, including ballet, jazz, modern, and ballroom, and always incorporates flexibility training into her classes. She believes getting in shape can (and should be) fun and refreshing rather than a boring chore!
